Janice is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant(IBCLC) and registered nurse with a degree in education. She is a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association, United States Lactation Consultant Association and Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition. While working as a lactation consultant, Janice was the recipient of the Nursing Spectrum award in clinical excellence.

She began supporting breastfeeding mothers in 1998 as a registered nurse in a community hospital setting. She went on to achieve her IBCLC in 2000 and has counseled thousands of mothers and babies through the years with their breastfeeding needs. She has done this through lactation consultations, a weekly breastfeeding support group, and teaching prenatal breastfeeding classes.

Janice gained the respect of many pediatricians and obstetricians as she helped their patients in achieving their breastfeeding goals. Her wide area of breastfeeding expertise and education spans from pregnancy through weaning. Her focus is always on the particular needs of both the mother and the baby.

Janice knows first hand the joys and hurdles faced by new parents as she and her husband raised four children. Now they both appreciate and enjoy the blessings of being grandparents.
